boundaries are not selfish
Therapy for relationships in Birmingham, AL
You're exhausted from friend, family, or relationship drama.
It’s like you can never catch a break.
Maybe you just had a huge fight with a friend or family member or experienced yet another rejection. You could be asking yourself, “Is it me?” or, “Why does this keep happening?”. Perhaps you’re feeling lost, hurt, and confused after a recent break up or struggling to navigate life as a single person. You may wish you had more friends and wonder why you don’t or feel like all your friendships are one sided.
Relationships are hard even under the best of circumstances. Sometimes we need a place to talk things through and hear that we aren’t crazy for feeling this way and get the support we need to start doing things differently.
I’m here for you.
You’re allowed to want more and ask for it.
You don’t have to choose between settling for less or being alone.
Feel familiar?
Struggling with feeling alone
Ready to stop choosing the wrong partners
Wishing that you could say no more easily
Hoping you will be able to “move on”
Here’s what we’ll do together
Therapy for relationships can help you feel more fulfilled and happy.
My approach to relationship counseling comes from a perspective of understanding we cannot change others, only ourselves. We will work together to first improve your relationship with yourself and later learn how this may be impacting your relationships with others. I will teach you about boundaries and how and when to implement them.
We will talk about what you're looking for in a partner or what your expectations are for friends and family. We will discuss various communication techniques and that empower you to talk about what you want, feel, and need. I will help you identify red flags and learn how to sift through dating apps and cope with being ghosted.
When all is said and done, here’s the thing:
You deserve rewarding and meaningful relationships.
What we’ll work on
Imagine a life where…
01you feel confident that you are a good friend, family member, or partner
Our worth should not be based on what we can do for other people.
02you can set boundaries comfortably
Everyone should know what their boundaries are and how to communicate them.
03you have the tools to talk about emotions
We have to know what we are feeling and what we want, before we can tell someone else.
Build the relationships you’ve been longing for.
Change is possible. I’ll help you get there.
