Online therapy (aka Telehealth) is when sessions are conducted via video. You must be in a private place and within the state of Alabama at the time of your appointment. I use a secure, HIPPA compliant platform that is compatible with both your phone or computer.
I strive to work around my client’s schedules as much as possible to make therapy accessible to them. Online therapy can take place from the comfort of your couch, in your car, office, backyard etc.

The first appointment is when we will get to know each other better. We will talk more about you- what brought you to counseling and what you want to work on. If you don’t know, that is ok too! Some people are ready to dive right in and others need time to warm up. We will work together to create an outline for sessions, brainstorm goals, and discuss how often you’d like to meet.

The frequency and duration of therapy sessions varies based on the person and his or her goals. In general, this could range from weeks to years. I recommend clients plan to attend sessions weekly or every other week initially. As you begin to feel relief, sessions can be spaced out if desired.
